Had an amazing week!!!
Cottage was stunning - had everything we needed. Beds comfortable and cottage very spacious for 4 of us and a dog. Garden, sitting room and kitchen diner perfect for relaxing on an evening after been out for the day. Clean and tidy and perfect location.
Local supermarkets (morrisons/ sainsburys/booths/ aldi) in penrith only approx 10 minutes away.

The only down side at the cottage was the stream at the bottom - where our dog escaped under the fence bit and went for a swim in the stream along someone else's garden- luckily we realised early and got him back ( he's a naughty labrador who loves water).

Places we wanted to visit at the most about half hour to an hour away. Grasmere and grasmere lake, tarn hows, windermere- where we hired a boat for few hours, whinlater forest, Pooley bridge and Glenridding. Plenty to do depending on what you want to do.

We had a year long “ holiday” here, so enjoyed the rural location, friendly neighbours, which included the last remaining hen, and got used to slow web speeds. Lucky we found it and so thankful to the owner, who made us welcome. Sitting areas at the back very useful in “lock down”. Good for a short stay too...3 miles from Penrith and just over a mile to a nearby village with a famous garden centre and cafe.
