Sally's Cottages is an award winning company who love the Lake District and believe in sharing this love with everyone who comes and stays.
We believe in exceptional customer service, friendly and approachable staff and a commitment to the local community and economy.
Our mission is:
- To inspire moments of happiness in everything we do.
- To make things as easy as possible for everyone we communicate with.
I started out by myself with just one holiday cottage way back in 2003. Now we have over 400 cottages to let and a few more people than just me. Here are the people you will find yourself talking to if you call the office.
Vanessa, Customer Services Administrator
Vanessa is full of life and bursting with energy! She hails from sunny South Africa but now considers herself a local having lived in the area for the past 10 years. She loves spending time wandering around the Lake District with her family and especially around Buttermere with her little grandaughter Ella Rose eating the local made delicious yummy ice cream!
Andrea, Customer Services Administrator
If you're looking for someone to help you find your perfect cottage, Andrea is your woman! She's a local lady who knows lots about the Lake District and Cumbria.
Suzanna, Customer Services Administrator
Suzanna is passionate about Cumbria and the Lake District and enjoys writing and sharing local secrets about great walks and pubs. Outside of work Suzanna loves swimming in Derwentwater or Crummock Water, walking, cycling and exploring Cumbria. Her recommendation for a beautiful walk is to catch the bus to Honister and set out for Dale Head. It is a glorious walk in the early evening sun, wandering over the tops of High Spy, Maiden Moor and Catbells.
Sophie, Customer Services Administrator
Sophie loves working with the team and making dream holidays for all our visitors who come and stay.
Sophie, Customer Services Administrator
Sophie has a secret. She loves Christmas so much that her dream is to have a shed in the garden that can be decked out as a Christmas Grotto! She likes the sparkle, the music, the food (most definitely the food) and the sheer happiness of it all. If you'd like to book a cottage for Christmas, Sophie is the lady to talk to at ANY time of the year.
Sarah, Customer Services Administrator
Sarah is one of the loveliest people you'll ever speak to. She loves walking the fells, equipped only with her camera and some flapjack. If you need any help when choosing a cottage or things to do while you're here, Sarah is the person to talk to.
Olivia, Customer Services Administrator
Olivia is never happier than when she is mooching about with her dog. She loves the fresh air and the freedom. If you have any questions about the best walks in the Lake District, then she's the lady to ask.
Angela, Customer Services Administrator
Angela is very much a family lady. She loves messing about playing with her kids and taking her border terrier, Alan, out and about.
Becca, Office Manager
Becca is one of those people who will go above and beyond to make sure you have your perfect cottage stay. She is friendly, fun and incredibly efficient.
Mike, Customer Services Manager
Mike's favourite thing about his role is working alongside all the different people who make Sally's Cottages what it is whether that be owners, visitors, colleagues, cleaners, suppliers etc (the list is endless!). Mike's best Lake District memory is sitting atop of Hardknott Pass during a temperature inversion with a layer of cloud below him and glorious blue sky and sunshine above whilst gazing at the Lake District's highest peaks popping out the top of the cloud like tropical islands in an ocean.
Katie, Accommodation Manager
Katie loves the outdoors, is full of energy and loves to laugh. She is always on hand to help and loves working alongside all our cottage owners!
Sally, Managing Director
I set up Sally's Cottages in 2003, after a chance conversation with a neighbour gave me the opportunity to rent my very first cottage. It's grown a bit since then but our philosophy remains the same. We love the Lake District and we love what we do. We hope you will too.
