Watermillock is a small scattered rural village to the north of Ullswater, within easy reach of all the local attractions it is ideally located for exploring the northern Lake District. A short walk from your door along the road takes you to rural lanes linking to footpaths up Little Mell Fell or across Swinburns Park to Gowbarrow Fell and Aira Force. Ten minutes’ drive away to the left is the attractive riverside village of Pooley Bridge, with a good range of places to eat, gift shops and a village store for filling up and stocking up! Or turn right for Glenridding, starting point for one of the most popular walks in the Lake District - Helvellyn via Striding Edge, plus a range of places to eat, drink and relax with views of Ullswater when you get back down.
