We have really enjoyed our week in this spacious, well appointed cottage. It was extremely hot weather, but the cottage was very cool to return to and there were shady spots to sit in the evenings (not a problem you often need to deal with in the Lakes!) It is extremely well equipped and sensitively modernised. The parking is a bit tricky as mentioned before, but fortunately there was only 1 car in the other property. We have especially enjoyed the peaceful location and glorious views. A few suggestions . make a selling point of the red squirrels who live in the local trees and frequent the feeders in the gardens- the neighbours told us about them and we were thrilled to see them. . a sentence needs adding to the directions saying to drive in through the gate marked "Wrens" - we had to ask the neighbours where to go . have a copy of the welcome pack in the cottage (laminated for Covid cleaning) . have some cushions available for the outside seats

A lovely cosy cottage hidden away yet near Keswick and Threlkeld. The wood burner was wonderful and kept our spirits up as we had a weekend of rain and high winds. Parking is a challenge if your party has more than one car.

Hi Moira, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? I bet it was a treat to come home to that lovely woodburner after a day out exploring in the fresh Lakes air! I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Lovely cottage in a fabulous location if you like it quiet. Local shops in Keswick just a 10 minute drive away. Next time we come to the lakes we will definitely be booking this cottage again!
