We had a lovely stay at marley's Lodge. It was very comfortable and well equipped and plenty of space for our party(5 adults and a dog). Tea coffee and biscuits were provided on arrival. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water.

Fabulous place to stay and in a perfect location to be far enough away from town not to suffer noisy pubs or passers by or light pollution but still having fab views of the valley, very close to Bassenthwait water and in perfect location to reach all of the lakes with ease or to take an hours trip to Hadrians wall.

The cottage is in a lovely location, and on the whole is well equipped. Standards of cleanliness weren't met and the vaccum cleaner left was filthy and broken. There were damp issues in the third bedroom and a nasty smell as a result. Lack of soundproofing meant Noise issues from property above. Issues raised during our stay with Management CompanyRead more, but no acknowledgement or response. Hide

A good location, a what3words location would help location as the postcode is inaccurate. The cottage has good sized rooms and lovely views of the hills. The oven would probably prove small for a larger family.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our week's holiday at Marley's Lodge in August 2023. We loved the large ground floor space, furnished comfortably and carpeted throughout, as well as the well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Our needs were met and we were thrilled to view from our front door the osprey soaring over Bassenthwaite Lake! The weather was dry anRead mored we visited RSPB sites, accessible wetlands, wildlife park, the railway path between Keswick and Threlfeld and dined out at The Sun. A lovely area. Hide
