The elegant lodge has an open-plan, studio-style layout, with quirky furniture and vibrant soft furnishings creating a truly unique backdrop to your holiday. The space is flooded with natural light, thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass doors framing fabulous mountain views. Taking centre stage is a hand-crafted, four-poster, king-size bed, and there’s also a sofa bed to accommodate two further guests if required. To the rear of the pod is a stylish kitchen area, along with a breakfast bar for sharing mealtimes together. After dinner, relax on the comfortable sofa, taking in the far-reaching views or watching a film on the Smart TV. A spacious wet room completes the accommodation. Outside, sip a morning coffee in the sunshine on the raised deck, or partake in a spot of stargazing on a clear night.
Keen walkers will be in their element, with many nearby tracks and trails to explore. Set off along the western shores of Bassenthwaite to admire the reflections and the local wildlife, or hop in the car to journey to the mighty peaks of Skiddaw (6 miles) or Blencathra (13 miles). The Georgian town of Cockermouth is 8 miles away, and has a great range of independent shops and eateries, as does the bustling tourist town of Keswick (7.5 miles). Keswick also has many outdoor adventure companies, offering everything from ghyll scrambling to kayaking.
