Get away from it all in this idyllic hideaway in the northern Lake District. The property sleeps two guests (with a further two accommodated on a sofa bed) and suits both couples and small families. The lodge overlooks Bassenthwaite, and from the property, you can enjoy walks along its western shore or take a tour of The Lakes Distillery (1.5 miles).
The elegant lodge has a studio-style layout, with an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area. The property has been decorated in a contemporary style, with bespoke furniture and exceptional attention. As you enter the pod, your eyes will be drawn to the magnificent, four-poster bed – the perfect place to wake up after a good night’s rest. There is also a sofa bed, accommodating a further two guests if required. At the far end of the room is a chic kitchen area, as well as a breakfast bar for sharing mealtimes together. At the end of the day, relax on the comfortable sofa to watch the Smart TV or admire the jaw-dropping view of the surrounding mountains. A stylish shower room completes the accommodation. Outside, unwind on the raised deck with a glass of wine, watching the local wildlife and taking in your peaceful surroundings.
You’ll be close to the bustling towns of Cockermouth (8 miles) and Keswick (7.5 miles), both of which have a great range of restaurants, cafes, and independent shops to explore. Keswick is also regarded as the hub for outdoor adventure, and you’ll find many companies offering all manner of activities, from ghyll scrambling to paddleboarding. The area is awash with walking tracks and trails and experienced climbers can take on the mighty peaks of Blencathra and Skiddaw. For those seeking a gentler climb, Catbells (12 miles) is perfect and still offers panoramic views across the Lake District.
