We arrived at the lodge - looked great on the outside. Modern, presentable and the hot tub was covered by a wooden shelter. Very well designed. The park itself had other lodges and smaller pod areas aswell with their own hot tubs. Inside we were just getting a feel for the place and found a tin of opened dog food - which was mouldy so had mayRead morebe been there for a few days possibly. There also was something black on the sofa....which thankfully was just some fluff and not a dead bug! This and finding no towels in the lodge weren't the best starting points of the break away! It wasn't the end of the world as the mouldy tin was disposed of in the bin outside of the lodge, and the rest of the lodge was clean. Apart from that hiccup the lodge itself was very spacious inside, well equipped and comfortable. The hot tub worked very well, good place to relax and can be used pretty much all weather as it has a shelter over it. A friendly staff member greeted us on arrival to show us the hot tub use and get us booked onto the site We enjoyed our stay at the lodge and the Lake District. Hide

Nice lodge and good location. Booking in needs to be made clearer as we sat outside the gates and didnt know what to do until we called the number we were given. It would be easier if they just told you to go to The Globe pub across the way to book in.
