Unwind in this contemporary, ground-floor, two-bedroom apartment with private courtyard in the heart of Keswick, ideal for a family or two couples looking for a comfortable and stylish base from which to launch into the Lake District. This aprtment is one of seven in a characterful Victorian Lakeland slate building dating from 1860, set in a quiet side street just a 100-metre stroll from the bustling centre of Keswick, with its pubs, restaurants, shops, Art-Deco cinema, theatre and attractions. Parking can sometimes be a headache in Keswick, but with this apartment you have the advantage of a private parking permit, so your lovely day in the Lakes won’t be marred by hunting for a parking space.

Keswick is a jewel in the northern Lake District's crown, located on the shore of beautiful Derwentwater. It's a vibrant market town with a wonderful atmosphere where you can indulge your wild side with any number of adventurous outdoor activities or pamper your taste buds with a huge range of eateries offering great local food and Cumbrian real ales. The walking and cycling on offer here is second to none, with paths and tracks for gentle, picturesque strolls or Lake District giants such as Skiddaw to climb if you're feeling more energetic.

Ancient and mysterious, Castlerigg Stone Circle is just over a mile up the hill from Keswick. Dating from around 3,000 BC, it is one of the most stunningly situated stone circles you will find, with breathtaking views in all directions. Nearby, there’s Keswick Climbing Wall and Rookery Woods offering fun for all ages.

The living area features a Smart TV, two, two-seater leather sofas, and has natural lighting from stylish skylight panels overhead and a glass French door to the courtyard. The chunky round dining table seats four. The kitchen area offers plenty of work-surface for keen chefs and is well-equipped with appliances including a fan oven/microwave, an induction hob, dishwasher, and a freestanding retro-style fridge/freezer. Although it's on the ground floor, the apartment does contain some steps (four), so may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

The master bedroom is very large and has a lovely king-size bed, cheval mirror and lots of storage in a matching chest of drawers, dressing table and large wardrobe. The en-suite bathroom is also very large, with a WC, cabinets with built-in wash basin, shaver point, heated towel rail, and a vast, luxurious, walk-in shower enclosure with one-way mirrored glass, the shower is equipped with dual overhead and handset sprays, offering a generous rainfall drenching experience, a real luxury after an energetic day spent on the fells. There is also a laundry cupboard with an Indesit washer/dryer.

The second bedroom has a built-in wardrobe and dressing table, with two single beds that can either be used as twin beds or made into a super-king-size bed, please let us know which you prefer when booking. There is a shower room off the hallway with WC, heated towel rail, wash basin with mirror and shaver point and a good-sized walk-in shower with dual overhead and handset sprays.

The apartment includes a private parking permit (a rarity in central Keswick) for parking in the church car park opposite the property. It is one of seven apartments accessed via a shraed entrance. If all the apartments are booked together, they can sleep up to 18 guests and two dogs.

Clean warm and well equipped in a good location. Large comfortable bed. It's let down by the rusty outdoor furniture, also the showers need a refurb and the light fittings are rusty in the ensuite and the coffee table is damaged.

Great location and lovely apartment. Had everything we needed especially as I had my 2 small dogs. Large sized bedrooms and fully equipped and around the corner from the parks. Quiet area. Be aware, parking is not available for apartment until exactly 4pm, so plan ahead.

Lovely, well located apartment- but due to the courtyard being so uneven, and a small child or someone with mobility issues, could find it difficult to use. Until the courtyard is sorted, I shall not rebook, even though the apartment is of a good standard.

Amazing holiday apartment right in centre of Keswick. Room for four adults with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything you need in the kitchen, although to be honest we ate out whilst we were there. All the furnishings and fixtures are really high spec and the place is decorated well. The welcome gifts were a nice touch as well.
