A contemporary apartment, with high ceilings and large windows, perfect for a couple keen to enjoy the vibrant, Lakeland market town of Keswick and proximity to Derwentwater.

This bright, modern, first-floor apartment is in the heart of Keswick, perfect for a couple looking for a comfortable, stylish base from which to launch into the Lake District. One of seven apartments in a characterful Victorian Lakeland slate building dating from 1860, it is set in a quiet side street just a 100-metre stroll from the bustling centre of Keswick, with its pubs, restaurants, shops, Art-Deco cinema, theatre and attractions. Parking can sometimes be a headache in Keswick, but with this apartment you have the advantage of a private parking permit, so your lovely day in the Lakes won’t be marred by hunting for a parking space.

Keswick is a jewel in the northern Lake District's crown, located on the shore of beautiful Derwentwater. It's a vibrant market town with a wonderful atmosphere where you can indulge your wild side with any number of adventurous outdoor activities or pamper your taste buds with a huge range of eateries offering great local food and Cumbrian real ales. The walking and cycling on offer here is second to none, with paths and tracks for gentle, picturesque strolls or Lake District giants such as Skiddaw to climb if you're feeling more energetic.

Ancient and mysterious, Castlerigg Stone Circle is just over a mile up the hill from Keswick. Dating from around 3,000 BC, it is one of the most stunningly situated stone circles you will find, with breathtaking views in all directions. Magnificent Derwentwater is just a 10-minute walk away from the apartment, where you can hire a rowing boat, take a launch around the lake or simply lose yourself in the scenery.

Comfortable and cosy, this apartment offers a well-appointed and welcoming base to enjoy all the sights and activities the area has to offer. There are seven apartments in total in the building. Booked together, they can sleep up to 18 guests and two dogs.

Acessed via a shared entrance, this contemporary one-bedroom apartment has a stylish open-plan living, dining and kitchen area flooded with natural light from three large sash windows.

The living area features a Smart TV, a two-seater leather sofa, modern furnishings and a dining table that will seat four. The triple sash bay window faces the front of the house, looking down onto Southey Street and across to the slate-built Keswick Methodist Church.

The kitchen area is well equipped, with modern appliances including a fan oven/microwave, an induction hob, a dishwasher and fridge with ice box. There is also a shared washer/dryer on the mezzanine floor outside (used by three other apartments).

The bedroom has a king-size bed, with ample storage in a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside drawers. There is an en-suite bathroom with windows to the side of the house, this has a WC, heated towel rail, wash basin with mirror and shaver point, and dual shower offering a generous rainfall drenching experience, a real luxury after an energetic day spent on the fells.

A private parking permit is included with your booking (a rarity in central Keswick).

  • 1 bedroom – 1 king-size
  • 1 shower room
  • Fan oven/microwave, induction hob, fridge with freezer section and microwave
  • Shared washer/dryer within the block
  • Smart TV

The apartment was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and spacious. The location was excellent and the arrival instructions were clear. The parking space was an added bonus. Try as we might, we were unable to find fault with Curlew!

Nice flat, very close to town centre so in easy reach of restaurants, shops etc. Although close to town centre, was very quiet. The parking in the church car park was great.

Very clean and comfortable appartment. Ideal location with just a short walk (5 minute) to the shops, bars, etc in the town centre. The reserved car parking space across the road guarantees a space on every return. Would definitely go back to this apartment.

The apartment is ideal for visiting Keswick. It is well situated, within a short walking distance of the town centre, and the addition of secure car parking space is a real bonus. The apartment itself is really well set out and comfortable. And although it is part of a much larger building, with other flats around it, it is really quiet!! Really comfortable apartment. Great location in centre of Keswick. Carpark just opposite with easy access and plenty of spaces with room for larger SUVs. Very comfy bed. Bedroom at the back so nice and quiet. Modern clean shower room. Couldn't get Netflix to work on tv but that wasn't too drastic as there was plenty to do in the town.
