Although parking can be a headache in Keswick, with this apartment you have the advantage of a private parking permit, so your lovely day in the Lakes won’t be marred by hunting for a parking space.
Keswick is a jewel in the northern Lake District's crown, located on the shore of beautiful Derwentwater. It's a vibrant market town with a wonderful atmosphere where you can indulge your wild side with any number of adventurous outdoor activities or pamper your taste buds with a huge range of eateries offering great local food and Cumbrian real ales. The walking and cycling on offer here is second to none, with paths and tracks for gentle, picturesque strolls or Lake District giants such as Skiddaw to climb if you're feeling more energetic.
Ancient and mysterious, Castlerigg Stone Circle is just over a mile up the hill. Dating from around 3,000 BC, it is one of the most stunningly situated stone circles you will find, with breathtaking views in all directions. Magnificent Derwentwater is just a 10-minute walk away, here you can hire a rowing boat, take a launch around the lake or simply lose yourself in the scenery.
The living area is double-height with windows to front and back so it always feels light and airy, to help you relax there is a Smart TV and two-seater leather sofa. The kitchen area is well-equipped, with appliances including a fan oven/microwave, an induction hob, a dishwasher and fridge with ice box. The dining table seats up to four with a mix of shabby-chic chairs and stools, and the whole living area sits underneath the original, exposed wooden beams, which adds real character to this lovely apartment.
The bedroom is packed with charm, it features a romantic, shabby-chic, king-size four-poster bed, a large Victorian wardrobe and vintage chest of drawers, plus a full-length cheval mirror. Across the hall from the bedroom there is a large, light, contemporary bathroom with WC, cabinet and integral shaver point, heated towel rail, and a generous walk-in dual shower offering a rainfall drenching experience, a real luxury after an energetic day spent on the fells. There is also a utility cupboard in the bathroom containing a washer/dryer.
The apartment is one of seven, tucked away off the main staircase to the side of the house, accessed via a shared entrance. Booked together, all of the apartments can sleep up to 18 guests and two dogs.
