Thanks to its position close to the heart of Ambleside, Sunnydene has plenty of options for nearby pubs, all just a short walk away. The nearest is The Golden Rule, a Grade II listed pub tucked away off the main road. It serves up a great selection of real ales but, if you're looking for somewhere you can also enjoy a meal, The Unicorn is just a few more yards away.

You won't get any closer to the pub than at Saddleback! The cottage is run by the owners of The Troutbeck Inn, close to Ullswater, which is just across the courtyard from the cottage. You can enjoy a range of freshly prepared food at this dog-friendly pub before heading back to your home-from-home to admire the surrounding mountain views!
