Indulge in a luxurious escape at this exquisite holiday home sitting in a complex of properties in the grounds of the Grade II-listed Garth House in Brampton. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, it’s perfect for families or groups of friends who are yearning to experience a little luxury during their Cumbria escape. Spend a fabulous morning at RSPB Geltsdale, spotting black grouse, short-eared owls and the elusive hen harrier; and in the evening, come home to your cottage to take a relaxing dip in the hot tub under starry skies.
Pull up your private parking area (there’s room for two cars) and step inside your grand holiday retreat. You’ll be welcomed by a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area flooded with natural light. Take a seat and admire the dramatic high ceilings and the smart, farmhouse-style decor, before you head to the sleek and stylish kitchen area to whip up some dinner. Alternatively, head into the garden, fire up the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco (the BBQ is available April 1 to September 30). Afterwards, take a relaxing dip in the outdoor hot tub, or retire to the lounge area to catch up on your favourite TV shows. At the end of the day, you’ll find two glamorous king-size bedrooms upstairs with en-suite shower rooms with walk-in showers (one bedroom can be converted into twins on request). In the morning, kick off your day at the on-site swimming pool, where you can enjoy a private one-hour daily swim, reserved for those over the age of four.
Head into Talkin Tarn Country Park (3.5 miles) to hike its well-marked woodland trails, or set off into the North Pennines National Landscape (3.5 miles) to discover rolling moorlands, quiet valleys and historic mining villages.
