Up to four guests can stay in this dog-friendly, wooden pod in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. With the coast, Lake District National Park and Forest of Bowland National Landscape also nearby, you’ll be spoilt for choice with outdoor activities and beauty spots. Enjoy cosy evenings in the open-plan living space with convenient onsite facilities at the tree-covered holiday park.
Walk up a couple of steps and over the decked area to reach the glass front door of this charming and cosy cabin. Step inside and find yourself in the living space, with a curved wooden panelled ceiling and earthy tones throughout. A compact but well-equipped grey kitchenette sits on one side of the space, with an electric hob, microwave and fridge. Adjacent is a circular dining table with foldaway wooden chairs, beneath a TV. Opposite is a leather sofa bed that sleeps two. Continue across the heated floor to reach a bedroom space at the back of the pod – with a window above the comfortable double bed. Completing the interior is a contemporary shower room with a spa-like feel created by the wooden interiors. Outside is a picnic bench on the lawn – shared with neighbouring pods. There is private parking for two cars.
During your stay on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, you’ll be surrounded by rolling hills, rustic villages and nature trails. Wander over the historic, 14th-century bridge into Kirkby Lonsdale (1 mile) to dine, shop and admire Ruskin’s View – which was painted by JMW Turner. Take a picnic for a snack along the way around the four-mile Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (6 miles). Go for a dip at the scenic sandy shores of Silverdale Cove (13 miles) or head into the Lake District National Park (11 miles).
