This cosy and characterful Cumbrian cabin is perfect for a dog-friendly, family getaway filled with outdoor activities, history and quaint British towns. You’ll be in for a memorable getaway in this all-wooden pod with an open-plan layout and underfloor heating. Ideally located between the coast, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, there’s plenty to keep you busy during your time away.
Step up onto the raised decking and enter the pod through a glass door with views of the trees. Inside, the interior is made up of wooden panels with an arched ceiling. On one side of this open-plan space is a contemporary, grey kitchenette with an electric hob, microwave and a fridge. Beyond here is a round wooden dining table with foldaway chairs, sitting beneath the TV. Opposite is a double, leather sofa bed. At the back of the pod, a dinky square window lets light into the bedroom area with a comfortable double bed. Also, a doorway leads to the contemporary shower room. Outside is a picnic bench in the lawned garden area shared with a handful of pods in this quiet area of a holiday park. There is private parking for two cars.
During your stay on the edge of the west of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, you’ll be just over the bridge from Kirkby Lonsdale (1 mile). Here you can pick up essentials from the local shops and dine out at a traditional countryside pub. Head into the Yorkshire Dales for a trip to the Stainforth Force waterfalls (18.5 miles) or the Ingleborough Caves (11.5 miles), filled with fossils and stalactites. For a day by the beach, you’ll be just 13 miles from Silverdale Cove. Also within reach is England’s largest lake, Windermere (22.5 miles), in the Lake District National Park.
