Glass doors from the dining area open into the lounge, where you can settle back on the sofa after your days out. Watch TV or a DVD, read your books and discuss the adventures of the day. When you are ready to enjoy a perfect night’s sleep, amble through to your super-king-size bedroom, which can also be arranged as twins by prior request. There is a modern shower room where you can wash away any muscle ache after long walks. Take morning coffee out into the seating area on warm days. Soak up the serenity and make plans for the day.
Lace up your walking boots and stroll 1.5 miles to Dodd Fell. Follow footpaths up to Dodd Fell, with its incredible views. Discover routes that take you beside Bassenthwaite Lake as well. Head to Mirehouse and Gardens, less than 2 miles away, where there are many walks, including through its colourful gardens and woodland. Venture into Keswick to browse in its independent shops and choose between an array of eateries. Book seats for a show at the Theatre by the Lake.
