This is a superb self-catering holiday home which is part of a large barn conversion in the Newlands Valley. The property boasts stunning views across one of the most tranquil and unspoilt areas the Lake District has to offer and is tastefully furnished providing comfortable and spacious accommodation for up to 16, and therefore ideal for family gatherings and celebrations. The views from the windows and from the sitting out area are stunning looking towards the Newlands Valley and fells.
The Newlands Valley is the ideal destination for everyone whether it be to enjoy gentle strolls along the fells or more strenuous walks over Robinson, Catbells and Maiden Moor. The Newlands Adventure Centre offers ghyll scrambling, climbing, kayaking and numerous other outdoor activities. Buttermere, Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite are only a short drive away. A local inn serves good food and alesand is a pleasant 30-minute walk from the property.
Little Town which is a gentle stroll from the accommodation was the setting for Beatrix Potter's Mrs Tiggy Winkle and the village of Braithwaite and the market town of Keswick with its numerous amenities are only 3 miles away. For a lovely relaxing evening out, there is the wonderful Theatre by the Lake in Keswick.
The property is accessed via steps up to double doors at the rear which lead into the dining area. The table and chairs can be arranged as one large table or as smaller individual ones. Steps at one end of the dining area lead down into the superb well-equipped kitchen with double ovened Aga, dishwasher, water purifier, microwave and large American-style fridge.
The utility room with washer, separate dryer and ironing board are accessed from the dining area. To the other end of the dining room steps lead down into the contemporary furnished large lounge with comfortable seating and multi-fuel burner in feature fireplace. There is a large flatscreen Smart TV and an area at one end with table and chairs, further seating and Hi-Fi system. The windows in the lounge look towards the magnificent Newlands Valley, fells and surrounding farmland.
At one end of the lounge are the steps leading down into the twin bedroom, again with windows with views, TV and an en-suite shower room. The large family bathroom on the same level as the lounge has corner bath, wash basin and WC.
Stairs lead off from the dining area and the lounge area to the bedrooms. All have wall-mounted TVs and all but one of the king bedrooms and the family bedroom have en-suite shower rooms. The family bedroom consists of a double bed and bunk beds. Please note that there is no TV in this room and that the TV signal is affected by the weather and can therefore be unreliable.
To the rear of the house is the large patio area with magnificent views to the Newlands valley and fells. There is a separate storage room/drying room with industrial tumble dryer and room for bikes and outdoor equipment. There is ample parking for several cars at the rear of the house.
