This is a self-catering apartment in a barn conversion in the Newlands Valley. The property boasts superb views across one the most tranquil and unspoilt areas that the Lake District has to offer. Four people can be accommodated in the ground-floor apartment which has two en-suite bedrooms and an open-plan living area. There is another apartment above, also sleeping four, and they can be let together to accommodate eight.
The Newlands Valley is the ideal destination for everyone whether it be to enjoy gentle strolls along the fells or more strenuous walks over Robinson, Catbells and Maiden Moor. The Newlands Adventure Centre offer ghyll scrambling, climbing, kayaking and numerous other outdoor activities. Buttermere, Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite are only a short drives away. The Swinside Inn serving good food and ales is a pleasant 30-minute walk from the apartment.
Little Town which is a gentle stroll from the accommodation was the setting for Beatrix Potter's Mrs Tiggy Winkle. The village of Braithwaite and the market town of Keswick with its numerous amenities are only 3 miles away. For a lovely relaxing evening out there is the wonderful Theatre by the Lake in Keswick.
Situated all on one level, this is one of two apartments converted from former farm buildings retaining original stone facades and internal beams. The ground-floor apartment has two spacious bedrooms, one double with an en-suite which has a bath, WC and basin, and a further twin bedroom with an en-suite which has a shower enclosure, WC and basin. Both bedrooms have wall mounted TVs in them.
The open-plan living area is spacious with a well-equipped kitchen which includes an electric oven with ceramic hob, washing machine, under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and plenty of storage space.
There is a comfortable lounge area with large 42inch widescreen TV. There is also a table and chairs for dining, which seats four.
Outside the cottage is a seating area with stunning views across the Newlands Valley fells, ideal for a morning coffee or evening tipple as you watch the sunset. There is also a storage room which is shared with guests of the neighbouring properties. Guests are welcome to store muddy boots and equipment as well as bikes and it is advised that guests bring their own bike locks.
