Hi Richard, you just can't beat sitting still and admiring the views, can you? Especially when they're as good as they are from Hall Garth Farm. I look forward to seeing you again next year!

A delightful and peaceful location with easy access to Keswick which has every amenity. However, the nearest pub is actually nearly 1 mile away, not a half as advertised.
The house has clearly been renovated to a high standard with the fittings of good quality and most modern conveniences.
Great accommodation for a family holiday.

Hi David, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your break. It's the perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries isn't it? And the location is ideal for heading out exploring. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Hall Garth Farm is a wonderful place to stay in the Lake District. Three generations were able to stay in comfort in a superb location. The views are to die for - wonderful vistas of Skiddaw and fields of sheep - absolutely idyllic. It's a very quiet location too but very convenient - on the A66 in a matter of minutes. The house itself has been very tastefully done, well laid out - two separate living rooms so that TV choices could be accommodated! The sofas in the main living room are fashionably low but not that comfortable - a minor niggle. The bedrooms are beautiful - the two ensuite shower rooms are also very nice. The stairs are steep and awkward if you are not used to old houses - particularly into the master bedroom - but you get used to it very quickly. The boot room is a major asset - can get washing done, store boots, coats etc, all out of the way. The house could do with a really good spring clean - a few cobwebs had crept in and the kitchen wasn't 100% clean. We also had a few flies coming in - understandable due to the close proximity of sheep, but this didn't cause a problem for us. You can walk directly from the house up to Whinlatter and we made the most of the good weather we had to enjoy the surroundings and garden. All in all, highly recommended - I would definitely return.
