Lovely cottage and location. But a few little nit picks to make it even better. Sofas not very comfortable low backs no head and neck support. No mirror in the master bedroom which was very annoying for the wife to try and do her hair and make up, very unwise to take hair dryer in bathroom. But the biggest problem is no stair rail my wife is slightly disabled and needed help to go to the bedroom (up and down) at all times.

Hello Roy, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's a gem of a cottage in a wonderful location isn't it? I have made a note of all the points you have raised and I will look into this further. I hope you had a really great holiday and will plan a return visit to the beautiful Lakes very soon.

Lovely cosy property in a very peaceful spot. Pub and shop within a mile walk. Property has been extremely tastefully renovated - contemporary touches while retaining character. Underfloor heating is a lovely touch. Utility room very good space both for storage and for drying. Excellent quality linen on beds and top notch bathrooms. Would have been a lovely to have had kingsize double beds which would have matched the quality of the rest of the property. My other half suggested there could be a few more saucepans provided.
Slightly surprised at this level not to have some sort of modest hamper on arrival with essentials - bread, milk, eggs tea etc, particularly as we arrived at midnight...
However, the above are relatively minor points - would definitely recommend without hesitation and hope to be back.
Note - Grisedale Pike is a great walk that can be done right from the front door of the property - we made it a circular walk coming back past Whinlatter visitor centre.

Wonderful holiday cottage! Location was more than amazing; great views from each window. Quiet area and endless beautiful walks from the cottage. Great central location in the lake district and plenty of shopping nearby to stock up. Cottage was beautiful and well set up. A small niggle was that the mattress was quite old and springy and the big niggle was that we found the kitchen to be quite dirty. From the grease on the walls/fixtures and stovetops to the dishes inside the cupboards which we happily washed before using...all and all it just seemed like the cottage could do with a good spring clean/dusting but didn't at all deter us from wanting to return again. Thank you for an amazing visit!
