Stunning cottage in remote location. Great if you love walking/running straight from the door. Lovely views and a big garden to chill in. We took our elderly and very active parents who struggled with the uneven stairs and rocky steep tracks. If you want flat areas to walk and shops you will need to join everyone else and drive! I took a bike to go to the local shops for supplies but it is about 2 miles on rough track and a steep single track road. You either love that sort of thing or you don't! No TV and sporadic wifi. Absolutely no phone signal. Bliss!!

Elm How is a lovely cottage- our second stay here. Chose this because it is so remote and quiet.

It felt a little different this time in terms of items removed from the cottage so didn't feel quite as homely as we would have liked.(Understandable of course)

I would advise you bring along absolutely everything you need to cook with such as condiments and cleaning items as there is nothing left from other guests. However a small sample of teas and coffees in sachets are provided which was a nice touch as well as tiny bottles of washing up liquid and a few dishwasher tablets.

We enjoyed the peace and tranquility more than anything so don't expect there to be TV or much of an internet connection. The views are fabulous.

Thanks for a lovely week in this wonderful cottage . It is quite a remote accommodation but for us that was part of the appeal .It has immediate access for walking the fells and we had fabulous weather which made it all the more attractive . You definitely don’t want to have to nip out for milk from here though so you need to be a bit organised . I would say maybe the logs needed seasoning as they wouldn’t burn easily but otherwise fabulous .
