For friends or a family dreaming of spending a relaxing holiday overlooking Lake Windermere and exploring the surrounding area, this elegant Lakeland home is the perfect property. Take the nearby ferry to Bowness (2.5 miles), an ideal foodie destination with an abundance of pubs, restaurants and cafes.

This stylish, traditional cottage is the ideal place to get away from it all and unwind. Inside, discover the snug area which features a Smart TV, a plush leather sofa and a bay window with seating and stunning views of Lake Windermere. The lounge opposite shares the same amazing views and is a social space with a three-seater sofa, two armchairs and a Smart TV. Walk through to the contemporary kitchen/diner which is equipped for all your needs and has a cosy wood burner to enjoy while eating at the dining table. In the hallway, one floor down, you'll find a shower room and a back door leading to the parking area. Upstairs, you'll find a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room and a twin room. The last bedroom is a double with its own private balcony. The front garden with outdoor furniture offers lovely views over Lake Windermere and is ideal for a relaxing al fresco dinner. Additionally, there are shared gardens to enjoy with marvellous views across the water.

Beatrix Potter's home, Hill Top, is less than 1.5 miles away and from there, you can drive to the picturesque village of Hawkshead (3.5 miles) which offers a quieter atmosphere and has a few pubs, cafes, and shops to choose from. For walkers of all abilities, Tarn Hows and High Cross are just 5 miles away.

Great place to stay. A little remote, the roads leading to it are very narrow and not for the nervous driver, but the views are excellent and the accommodation comfortable.

An enjoyable and spacious place with fantastic views. The cottage is in the quieter area around the lake and offers access to lovely walks and excursions. The home is warm and well-equipped, although it was missing a little bit of a personal touch. Unfortunately the place was not very clean, but hopefully this can be improved for the next guests! ARead morepart from that, this is a beautiful, quiet and romantic place to stay. We would recommend it as a lovely and welcoming retreat. Hide

The cottage is in a very peaceful and scenic location. Nice views of Windermere to the front. Plenty of utensils and equipment. Large, spacious rooms. Fits 6 comfortably. Lovely pleasant garden with picnic table at the front, lovely for outdoor eating and relaxing. Space on the drive for 2 vehicles, be mindful to pull in to wall as property at rearRead more is a holiday let and they need to park too. Narrow lanes can be problematic if you have a large vehicle.
