Very quiet & peaceful surroundings. The cottage was quirky, fabulous to find out what it used to be before being this beautiful, fully equipped cottage. Everything we needed was there. Electric black out blinds! Brilliant invention, they were used every night! Very comfy large bed, adjustable. As this estate is a working farm, it was still very quiRead moreet plus there was a few chickens wandering around, one came to tap on the door with its beak which we found quite comical. Hide

Beautiful cottage as always. Lovely owner Kay. We only stayed 1 night instead of 3 because of medical emergency but Kay said we could come back, that the cottage was free until the weekend. How generous. We will return in the future.

What a wonderful location, exactly what we wanted. Beautiful countryside away from it all. We needed a quiet place for our rescue beagle & we couldn't have asked for more. Kay is a lovely host, thank you

Kitchen needed a deep clean - we had to wash all dishes and cutlery before we could use them and the grill pan in the oven was full of grease

Fantastic location, lovely host. A great cottage as a base for walking sections of Hadrian's Wall. Dog friendly, some amazing walks within a short drive - but also some lovely walks straight from the door.
