A few miles beyond is the small town of Kirkby Stephen with its pleasant shops and cafes, it prides itself on being a walkers are welcome in town and it has lots of vibrant, small independent shops.

A favourite place to visit is Stenkrith Park, a native woodland that borders the River Eden with a variety of pathways including a beautiful viaduct walk and a great wild swimming spot at the far end of the park.

Great location, friendly owners and excellent garden as an outside space to spend time in. Everything was there that was needed with extra touches. Great place for 3 but would be a little tight for 4, but do-able.
