This gorgeous custom-built wooden cabin provides the perfect romantic hideaway with magnificent views of Blencathra. From your doorstep, you can explore miles of walking and cycling trails and climb hills, fells and mountains. Where two rivers meet, you can swim in the wild or canoe through the clear river waters of St John's Beck.
The setting of this cabin, located on a family-run farm, is breathtaking. You can tell that the building has been furnished with great attention to detail. In the open-plan bedroom, a king-size bed sits directly in front of the large picture window with bi-folding doors, making the most of the space to enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. Behind the bed is a neat breakfast bar, where you can enjoy a coffee in the morning while taking in the mountain views and making plans for the day ahead. The wet room at the back of the property has a feature slate wall. The small kitchen is ideal for preparing a hearty breakfast or light snack, and on fine evenings, the BBQ is a great option. In front and next to the cabin is your private patio area with seating, a BBQ/ fire pit, and a wood-fired hot tub. Relax in the evening as you dine alfresco in idyllic surroundings or soak in the hot tub and stargaze.
You can access the old Threlkeld to Keswick railway line from the cabin site, a 3-mile footpath and a cycleway. Nearby Keswick (4 miles) is the starting point for a walk up the glorious Catbells or stay in town and visit Theatre by the Lake. In Derwentwater (7 miles), you can catch one of the launches and cruise between jetties, hopping on and off for a picnic, a waterfall walk or a spot of afternoon tea.
