Situated in a valley with gorgeous views of Blencathra, this impressive cabin on a working farm has direct access to the old Threlkeld to Keswick railway, now a 3-mile footpath and cycleway. Perfect for couples seeking a romantic bolthole with a touch of luxury, and a relaxing and active holiday away from it all.
At first sight, you’ll love this wooden cabin's wonderful location and the care with which it's been designed and built; every detail has been carefully thought through to make the most of the space and unique surroundings. The open-plan bedroom with a king-size bed, Egyptian cotton bed linen and embroidered bathrobes create a superior experience. From the bed, you can view Hellvelyn and Blencathra through the floor-to-ceiling bi-folding doors. At the end of the bed, there's comfortable seating to read, play cards or enjoy a glass of wine! The wet room has a slate wall and a rainfall shower. The small kitchen is ideal for preparing breakfast or a light bite, while the village pubs make for a great evening out together. Outside, a private terrace awaits with seating, a fire pit/BBQ and a wonderful wood-fired hot tub. This romantic spot is ideal for sitting quietly in the evening, watching the stars with a glass of bubbly.
The nearby village of Threlkeld (1 mile) is ideal for enjoying a drink or pub lunch. Alternatively, head to Keswick (4 miles) and catch a show at Theatre on the Lake. Derwentwater (7 miles) offers a regular launch service across the lake, allowing you to hop on and off to explore the various moorings, including the waterfall at Lodore (8 miles), the much-photographed Ashness Bridge (8 miles) and the walled garden that inspired Beatrix Potter at Lingholm (7 miles).
