Hang up your coat in the spacious boot room and stroll into the open-plan living space, where you’ll immediately be drawn to the lovely views through the patio doors. A sleek kitchen with integrated appliances is fitted across one end of the room, with a dining table for two where you can enjoy the results of some creative cooking. The lounge area has a large sofa and a Smart TV for those evenings where all you want to do is get cosy indoors and get stuck into a book or stream a favourite programme. The king-size bedroom is super-stylish and has ample storage, and there’s a superb bathroom with a modern, free-standing bath and a separate walk-in shower. The iconic Lake Windermere is just over 1 mile away, and here you can hire kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, boats and waterskis to get out on the water, or opt for a steamer cruise to take in the stunning scenery.

5 star accommodation in a lovely setting. Nice and warm, beautiful bathroom and big comfy bed. Close to Ambleside and all its great amenities. Very steep hill back with limited pavement and street lighting.

Quiet, pleasant location, 15 minutes downhill walk into Ambleside. Spacious, warm and comfortable apartment.

We stayed at Willowbank Retreat for 5 days / 4 nights and it definitely wasnt long enough. It was so light, spacious and relaxing, I wouldnt hesitate to book again. It was really clean and had everything we needed. It was ideally located just a 10/15 minute walk from the town (up a rather steep hill but not too challenging). We were able to walk toRead more Rydal Caves/Loughrigg Fell/Wansfell Pike from our stay so never had to pay for additional car parking. Cant wait for our return visit. Hide

This is a beautifully furnished and comfortable apartment with lots of thought put into the finer details. Such as a light over the mirror in the bedroom and sockets for hairdryers etc. A very generous welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolate was provided. All from local outlets.

The flat was warm and welcoming on our wet arrival. Lovely location away from the village, peaceful with a very good sized garden. We really enjoyed our week.

We enjoyed a lovely break at Willowbank Retreat which has everything you could want for a relaxing stay. My wife has already talked about a return next year. The only thing to be aware of is the steep clime up from the town and wasn't really on option on foot for us.
