Take time to relax and reconnect with your partner. Located in the Cumbrian coastal village of Silverdale, this property is the perfect place for a couple of people and a couple of dogs to spend time together, racing along the beach, grilling on the BBQ and relaxing in front of the wood burner.
Walk in through the front door, down a few steps, and then look up. You’ll be in a huge, high-ceiling, open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner. There are exposed beams, large windows, a wood burner, a chandelier and a breakfast bar. The kitchen is underneath the mezzanine, so it’s easy to chat with your partner as they cook, and you sit by the fire with the dogs. This room has a unique feature: a glass panel on the floor, which overlooks an ancient well. To one side there are stairs which lead to the family bathroom, where there’s a shower over the large bath. If you return to the main room and then head up to the mezzanine, you’ll see a super-king-size bed, where you can get a good night’s sleep ahead of the next day’s adventures. The property has plenty of outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy; these are shared between other holidaymakers in the complex. The garden has a picnic bench and a BBQ for warm, summer evenings, and there’s a football pitch with a dog agility course on the side.
The holiday complex is just over 3 miles from the charming village of Silverdale, which has a couple of dog-friendly pubs and a dog-friendly beach. It’s a nice spot for an afternoon of shopping, eating and splashing around. If you’d like a quiet walk, try Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve (1.5 miles) where you can find all sorts of wildlife, including woodpeckers, bitterns and marsh harriers.
