Modernised coach house with an abundance of space - upside-down living and an amazing open-plan area make it great for a family of four.

The village of Ireleth-in-Furness, perched above the Cumbrian coast, has magnificent views of the sea, sand, and on a clear day, the Isle of Man. This unique property is perfect for families looking for a quiet base for an active holiday exploring the Furness Peninsula and Lake District. The Duddon Estuary, less than a mile away, is an easy walk from the house. If you want to leave the car behind, then the railway station at Askam is perfect for accessing destinations up and down the coast.

This impressive property features a thoughtful reverse-level design that places the living area upstairs and the bedrooms downstairs to make the most of the stunning estuary views. The entrance on the ground floor leads to the two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The inviting open-plan living area upstairs benefits from high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the space with natural light. This bright space with colourful furniture and pictures on the wall offers a lounge area with three sofas and a Smart TV, perfect for the family to relax together and enjoy a movie, play games or take in the amazing views. The kitchen and dining area are at the opposite end of the property to the lounge. As both are open plan, everyone can join in the cooking. Outside, a shared patio area with plenty of seating awaits for evenings of al fresco dining in fine weather.

There are plenty of family days out to choose from as the edge of the Lake District National Park is less than 15 miles away. The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway (seasonal) is 11.5 miles away, Holker Hall and Gardens is 16 miles away, or you could take a trip to Coniston Water (12 miles) and kayak or canoe to Wild Cat Island.

Lovely modern fitted, clean, well-equipped and spacious coach house located in an unspoiled spot on the edge of the Lake District. Nice thoughtful touch to discover a selection of biscuits, elderflower cordial and milk in the fridge for us on arrival especially after a long 6-7 hour journey!! Askam village is just down the road and has a handy Co-oRead morep supermarket, a fish and chip shop and a Chinese takeaway as well as a station on the Barrow - Carlisle line..
