We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The views are stunning, the garden is lovely to play in for the kids, the road (though close) is not a nuisance at all, the house is very centrally located and the rooms were nice. (Good size, good light, nice old features)

really enjoyed our bank holiday weekend in Forest View cottage. It is a great little cottage, watch out for low beams in one of the bedrooms but honestly couldn't fault it at all. Good size garden and lovely views too.

Beautiful clean cottage, very cosy and a great garden area for our dog. We had some beautiful walks that were close and Keswick town was only a few miles away! The only thing was our check in time was 5pm and check out time was 9.30am. We would have benefitted from an earlier check in time.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location near Bassenthwaite but only a few minutes drive from Keswick. There are some great walks through Dodd woods and up to Low Dodd peak starting just up the road but be aware that these are hard to access on foot due to the busy and narrow main road. A lovely little cottage in a super location - not far from Keswick for groceries and facilities, but also in proximity of plenty of great walks and lakes for water activities. We would definitely go back!

We had a fantastic stay at Forest View. Lots of local walks but thoroughly recommend Dodd Wood summit, Skiddaw and walks in Whinlatter Forest. The cottage was a perfect base and was thoughtfully kitted out. The only downside for us was the fact it was right on a busy road so we were not able to walk directly from the property.

A nice little cottage although next to an A road which wasnt mentioned in the details. It wasnt too busy fortunately but there was noise from it. Comfy bed and spacious. Good location for walking across to Dodd Wood or to Bassenthwaite Lake.

Lovely views out the front and from garden, good cottage for 2. Walk through Dodd Wood up to Dodd for fantastic views. Dog friendly but keep your dog on a lead outside as no gate to main road. Garden has open fencing. No access to garden from cottage, you must go out front door and around side. Plenty of parking. Good base for touring, close to KesRead morewick, Mirehouse, Underscar Manor cafe is great. A couple of issues for us, have let owners know, if fixed would give 5 stars. Hide

A great place to stay for a week with a toddler. Very close to Kewswick and easy to get to other parts of the lakes as well. Some great attractions on the doorstep and the electric charging point was a real bonus to help us make the most of the week.
