The beautiful apartment boasts far-reaching rural views and is perfectly placed for exploring the quaint town of Ambleside, as well as enjoying some exhilarating fell walking.
This bright first-floor apartment is within easy walking distance of the centre of Ambleside. Inside you'll find a fantastic open-plan living/dining/kitchen area that's a great sociable space. There are three bright and airy bedrooms: a king-size with its own en-suite shower room, a second king-size room (that can also be made up as a twin upon request) and a lovely single, and the family shower room has a large walk-in shower. Off the dining room is a private balcony, with table and chairs - it's a lovely spot for an early morning cuppa or early evening aperitif. Guests will also have access to the delightful shared gardens and the apartment has its own parking space and a garage for storing bikes (you could also park a small car in the garage depending on its size), all a real treat so close to the centre of Ambleside.
Ambleside itself is a bustling village with a great selection of outdoor and independent shops, as well as a number of different eateries to try during your stay - why not treat yourselves to dinner and a film at Zeffirellis with its multiscreen cinema? If local history is more your thing then a trip to the Windermere Jetty Museum is a must, as is The World of Beatrix Potter at nearby Bowness. Take the ferry across the lake to Hawkshead where you can even visit Potter's former home at Hill Top. There are plenty of walks on offer from Ambleside. Head up Loughrigg or Wansfell Pike for stunning panoramic views of The Lakes, or tackle the Fairfield Horseshoe for a longer day out on the fell tops.
Take a scenic drive through The Lakes to Grasmere, another charming Lakeland village that's certainly worth a visit. Spend some time looking around Dove Cottage, once home to William Wordsworth, before stocking up on the village's famous gingerbread. Continue north to the market town of Keswick. Known as the adventure capital of the North Lakes, sign up for an activity with one of the local adventure companies to test your adrenaline! A day spent in the magnificent Langdale Valley is never a day wasted. Explore the woods around Blea Tarn or follow the riverside path to beautiful Elterwater, whilst serious hill walkers will delight at the choice of fells on offer including a number from Alfred Wainwright's famous list.
Inside, the open-plan kitchen/dining area is a fantastic social space, ideal for this wonderful home from home. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, built-in microwave, fridge/freezer and handy dishwasher meaning there's no need to fight over who has to do the washing up. Gather round the wooden dining table and compare notes on the day's events over a delicious home cooked meal. Why not throw open the sliding doors here and bring the outside in, whatever the weather
The living area has a three-seater sofa and two armchairs, all are 'Stressless Recliners' so ideal for relaxing after a day out exploring. For entertainment there's a wall-mounted Smart TV, with access to all the major catch up channels and Netflix (remember your own log in details), there's also a USB port so you can play your own music too. Or simply enjoy the wonderful view over the surrounding countryside and fells beyond from the large window.
Down the corridor you'll find the three lovely bedrooms. First up is the spacious master bedroom. With a king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room (with WC, wash basin and shower cubicle), this is a wonderful bedroom, just perfect for indulging in a long lie in. Next up is another king-size room, with a useful built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage. Thanks to its large window, this room is bright and airy and has a delightful outlook over the surrounding greenery. This bedroom contains a zip-and-link bed and so can also be made up as a twin upon request. Last but by no means least we have the delightful single room, which has a handy chest of drawers for storage and shares the same lovely view as the second king-size bedroom. The modern family shower room has a fantastic large walk-in shower (as well as the WC and wash basin), perfect for reinvigorating muscles tired from walking.
As well as having access to the delightful shared garden, Ambleside Heights also has its own private balcony off the dining area. With a table and chairs, it's a lovely spot equally suited for a peaceful morning cuppa or a refreshing G&T after a day out exploring.
Outside you'll also find a garage for storing bikes, perfect if you fancy getting out and about on two wheels. There is parking for one car in front of the garage (you could also park a small car in the garage depending on its size) and should you need it, there's also space to park a second car in the communal parking area - a real bonus so close to the centre of Ambleside.
