This is a fantastic first-floor apartment. A short walk from the centre of Ambleside and with delightful views thanks to its elevated position, you really have got the best of both worlds here. Inside you'll find modern and comfortable accommodation for four. There's a great well-equipped kitchen/diner and spacious living area that's perfect for relaxing evenings in. There are two lovely king-size bedrooms, one with its own en-suite shower room, and a modern family shower room with a fabulous wak-in shower. Off the dining area is a private balcony; with an outdoor table and two chairs, it's a wonderful place to sit and admire the views. As well as all this, there are also delightful shared gardens to enjoy, a garage for storing bikes and parking (you could also park a small car in the garage depending on its size) - all a real bonus so close to the centre of Ambleside.
Leave the car where it is and head into the centre of Ambleside, just a 10-minute walk away. There are a great choice of independent and outdoor shops for a spot of retail therapy and plenty of different eateries to try out. Don't forget to bring your walking boots, there are plenty of fantastic walks in and around Ambleside. Local fell Loughrigg can be tackled straight from the front door; short but steep, the fantastic views from the top are certainly worth the climb. For a lower level walk, follow the quieter Under Loughrigg road to beautiful Rydal Water. Enjoy a peaceful lakeside picnic before continuing on to Grasmere where you can stock up on the village's famous gingerbread before starting the return journey. If you prefer to get out and about on two wheels, nearby Wansfell Pike is a popular choice for mountain bikers, whilst road bikers can challenge themselves with the climb up Kirkstone Pass.
Explore bustling Bowness-on-Windermere just down the road from Ambleside. Admire the yachts in the harbour or hire a motor boat and take to the water yourself. If you'd prefer someone else to do the hard work then hop on the launch and enjoy a leisurely cruise round the water. Head north to Keswick, the adventure capital of the North Lakes. Sign up for an activity with one of the local adventure companies; have a go at raft building, canoeing, ghyll scrambling or tackle the Via Ferrata at Honister Slate Mine - for the very brave only!
Inside, the modern kitchen is well equipped with everything you'd need for a self-catering holiday. In here you'll find an electric oven and hob, built-in microwave, fridge/freezer and a useful dishwasher - no need to fight over who has to do the washing up. Enjoy your home cooked meals round the wooden dining table before retiring to the living area. Relax on the three-seater sofa or one of the two armchairs in here, all are 'Stressless Recliners' so ideal for a well earned rest! For entertainment there's a Smart TV, with access to all the major catch-up channels and Netflix (remember your own log in details), there's also a USB port so you can play your own music too. Or why not catch up with a good book? If you can tear yourself away from the wonderful views over the surrounding countryside and fells beyond that is!
Ambleside View has two spacious king-size bedrooms, one with its own en-suite shower room (with WC, wash basin and shower cubicle). Both rooms are light and airy thanks to the apartment's large windows and there's plenty of storage space in the useful chest of drawers and built-in wardrobe. The family shower room has a WC, wash basin and luxurious walk-in shower that's perfect for reinvigorating tired muscles after a day out exploring.
Accessed via sliding doors from the dining area in the apartment's private balcony, a lovely spot to recharge the batteries. Early risers will love sitting out here with their morning cuppa listening to the birds, but it's equally suited as a delightful place to enjoy an evening aperitif. As well as the private balcony, guests can also enjoy access to the delightful shared gardens.
The apartment has a garage, ideal for storing bikes if you like to get out and about on two wheels. There is parking for one car in front of the garage (you could also park a small car in the garage depending on its size) and there's also a communal parking area if you need to park a second car (available on a first come first served basis), all a rare bonus so close to the centre of Ambleside.
