Step inside the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner of this countryside bolthole and feel instantly at home as you relax on the comfy seating. The wood burner-effect electric fireplace is perfect for chilly evenings and provides a cosy glow as you snuggle up in front of the TV together. The Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty can be reached in less than 30 miles. Pack up your car for a day trip adventure and explore this stunning part of the world on foot. Stretch your legs along the shoreline or dig your toes into the sand at Cardurnock Beach. Closer to the property is Thack Moor (16 miles), one of England’s ‘newest mountains’. Blow away the cobwebs with a morning stomp to its summit and delight in the magnificent views across the Eden Valley. The city of Carlisle is 15 miles away and offers visitors a number of fantastic eateries and attractions to peruse.

Fantastic location, lovely host. A great cottage as a base for walking sections of Hadrian's Wall. Dog friendly, some amazing walks within a short drive - but also some lovely walks straight from the door.

Amazing cottage, it had everything we could possibly need and the dogs were truly spoilt with treats and a tennis ball! Perfect location to get to the lakes/beach/Northumberland and Scotland. Really enjoyed our stay here, very friendly hostess, and a amazing welcome pack with biscuits, eggs and treats for the dogs! Cottage was beautiful and a amazing location, just being able to sit outside with a cup of tea, hear the birds, lambs and stream was so relaxing. Absolutely perfect for us as I am a recent leg amputee & still learning The motorised chair & bed were a great help (a similar bed at home may now be bought after this trial week) The only thing needed are stronger light bulbs or a another reading lamp for older eyes in the evening We intend returning..................

What a great place to stay, upon arrival we were made very welcome by the hosts and the surprise treats went down very well especially the doggy ball and treats for our little furry friend. It was a great to have peace and tranquillity and just sit outside watching and listening to the variety of birds. The cottage was well equipped and ideal for uRead mores. This cottage was above and beyond our expectations. All the little extras even the dog biscuits and ball for our dog. The bathroom extras and milk biscuits and egg's with coffee in the cupboard. Can't praise this holiday home enough. Would be happy to go back

We had a lovely stay! The style and location was just what we wanted for a relaxed New Years Eve. In terms of amenities for wheelchair users:- - The electric bed with room under the bed for the hoist is a rarity and great to see! - the bathroom was on the smaller side but I was able to get in with the portable hoist. Facilities were ok,shower room quite small,also had leak from pipes behind cistern,should have been sorted before arriving ? No proper ventilation in here either.Although tv said Freeview,actual control provided wasn't correct one ?
