Experience luxurious glamping at this romantic retreat on the World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall. The area is ideal for walkers and wildlife enthusiasts, with access to the fascinating Hadrian’s Wall Path directly from the property. Enjoy memorable meals for two on your private decked area, with magnificent countryside views, followed by a dip in the hot tub (additional charge applies). There is also an enclosed, shared garden which is perfect for your four-legged friend.
The delightful lodge pod has an open-plan studio style and is decorated in pastel tones, accompanied with cute accessories. Double doors open onto the decked area, bringing the outdoors in and allowing you to fully appreciate the far-reaching countryside views. The pod has been cleverly designed to maximise the space and comprises a comfortable sleeping area with a double bed, along with a kitchen area, TV, and dining area where you can share romantic dinners for two. Outside, dine alfresco on your private decked area and take in the tranquil views across Hadrian’s Wall Path, before cracking open the bubbly and sinking into the relaxing hot tub.
From the lodge, you’ll have direct access to the Hadrian’s Wall Path. The long-distance national trail stretches from coast to coast, passing through some of the most beautiful parts of northern England. As you’d expect, the area is a haven for history enthusiasts and during your stay you can visit the Roman ruins at Housesteads, Birdoswald and Vindolanda (all within 20 miles). While away several hours at Talkin Tarn Country Park (4.5 miles). The beautiful lake is set amongst 120 acres of woodland and farmland, and there’s a lovely footpath that hugs the shoreline. Hire a rowing boat to get out on the water, followed by a slice of homemade cake at the tearoom overlooking the tarn.
