Escape on a luxurious, romantic glamping break at this gorgeous lodge pod set in a spectacular position on Hadrian’s Wall. Sitting on a stylish complex of quaint log cabins, it sleeps two people in one bedroom and welcomes one canine companion – making it the ideal rural retreat for couples who want to ramble along Hadrian’s Wall by day, and watch the stars come out as they enjoy a soak in the private hot tub each evening.
Stroll through your enclosed garden and step inside your delightful lodge pod. Pour yourself a glass of wine and rustle up dinner for two in the kitchen area. Enjoy an intimate meal at the dining table, or head outside onto the private deck area to dine alfresco. After dinner, sit back, enjoy the views across Hadrian’s Wall, and spend some time spotting regular visitors like deer, red squirrels, barn owls and rabbits. Alternatively, take a relaxing dip in the two-seat hot tub (please note there is an additional charge of £100 for the use of the hot tub), or snuggle up in front of the TV in the lounge area in the pod. When the day is done, you’ll find a comfortable sleeping area with a double bed to the rear of the pod.
See the longest remaining stretch of Hadrian’s Wall at Birdoswald Roman Fort (10 miles). Or head into Carlisle (10 miles) to visit the castle, see the beautiful cathedral, check out the collection at the Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery and browse the food stalls at the Market Hall. Alternatively, grab your swim suit and make your way to Talkin Tarn Country Park (8 miles) to go wild swimming.
