Gather your family and dogs for a holiday in Cumbria. This charming log cabin is located on a holiday complex just outside Cockermouth, surrounded by activities to suit all ages. You can bring your nearest and dearest, or book places together for a big group trip. There’s easy access to some of the most beautiful spots in the UK, including the Lake District National Park, and plenty of beaches.
The property starts with an open-plan living space, which skilfully combines a lounge, kitchen and diner into one. You’ll get plenty of natural light through the glass patio doors, and the room is made airy by the high, vaulted ceiling. It’s a nice spot to cook, eat, and enjoy each other’s company whilst your dogs nap at your feet. There’s a WC which directly connects to the living space, and a corridor leads off. This is where you’ll find the family bathroom, with a walk-in shower, plus the bedrooms. There’s a double, a single, and finally a twin room with an electric bed. The lodge has a decked area with a dining table and rattan furniture, and on sunny days you can take your dogs over the lawn and to the stream for a little splash.
You’ll be staying a mile away from the centre of Cockermouth, a market town with a lot on offer. If you fancy a meal out, why not try one of the nearby dog-friendly pubs? There are plenty of places for walking, including Harrington Beach (11.5 miles) and Allonby Beach (10.5 miles), both of which welcome dogs. Alternatively, you can climb Skiddaw, a nearby mountain, 13.5 miles from the lodge.
