- We enjoyed our stay at Clough View despite the rain that week. The location is a good base to head out on the fells, with a Blencathra on your doorstep as well as the excellent White Horse Inn for a drink and bite to eat.
Keswick is 10 mins away by car or you can be into the central Lake District within 30 mins.
The accommodation itself is spacious over 3 floors, and comfortable although the beds are perhaps a little on the firm side. The kitchen may be a little compact , but It’s suitable to easily prepare meals. The view from the first floor window across to Clough Head is very pleasant, despite being next to the busy A66, it’s elevated enough not to notice the traffic noise too much.
The outdoor space has plenty of car parking for the property and the adjoining 2 properties. The gardens could be used to sit outside and have a bbq. With a bit of a tidy up, it would be very nice on a sunny evening.
We’ve now stayed twice at Clough View, which is testament to its good value accommodation.
