A wonderful cottage in a wonderful location. Walks from the house, cycle rides along the coast, beautiful beaches nearby too. Had a fabulous time, thank you

Hello Suzie, I love getting feedback like this - thank you so much! You couldn't have picked a better location to explore the beautiful Lakes and get out and about on some great walks and cycle rides. I'm thrilled you had a great stay and I hope you can come back to make more memories in the Lakes very soon.

What a fantastic cottage!. My sister and I travel a lot and this is by far the most comfortable and cosy cottage we have stayed at. In fact we loved it so much we made sure we were home by sundown every day so that we could enjoy the cottage! :)

The utility room is just amazing which means you don't cart in all your dirt and wet from the days activities. The utility room has a separate washer and dryer and plenty of space to hang clothes. There is also a shower room and toilet leading off the utility room. The rest of the house is clean and tastefully decorated. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The shower is amazing - hard spray and enough hot water for both my sister and I to enjoy showers directly after each other. The house has TV with Netflix which we thoroughly enjoyed.

One thing worth mentioning is that the house is not easy to find, especially given that check in is so late at 4 pm. We arrived around 5 pm and only found the house at 7 pm. Once you reach the turn for Nether Wasdale you should only drive about 1 km up the road. If you reach the pubs and hotel you have gone too far. The instructions say drive until you reach a road that turns back on itself. Well this wording must be British because we had no idea what it meant. Basically Whitesyke is directly on a road that runs parallel to the road you were on. The sign for Whitesyke fell down when we were there (terrible storms) so unless they put a new sign up you just go into the wooden gate. There are two properties. One stone property flies a white and red England flag and Whitesyke is the white and blue double story house.

We will definitely be back! The owner has gone to great lengths to make this an enjoyable stay for guests.

Hi Bronwyn, thank you so much for such wonderfully detailed feedback, which I know other guests will appreciate. I've made a note of the fact the sign blew down - thanks for letting me know. It really is a fantastic cottage isn't it? I'm so thrilled you love it as much as we do! Safe travels!
