Hello Paul, Thank you for your lovely feedback. It's a gem of a cottage, isn't it? You couldn't have picked a better location for exploring the Lakes and getting out and about on some great walks. I'm thrilled you got the opportunity to meet the fabulous owner. Here's to the next Lakes adventure - hope to see you again very soon!

We had a lovely week, the cottage was warm and the beds comfortable. There was everything you needed. The location was perfect for walking. and the Bus to Keswick stopped at the bottom of the road.
Safe parking was a bonus.
We definitely recommend the cottage, and hope to visit again in the future.

We loved our holiday at Westrigg. We received a friendly welcome throughout the week. The gardens were beautiful and I spent many an hour watching and photographing the wildlife. The setting is idyllic for those who like peace and quiet and it is perfect for walking, both direct from the cottage and for utilising the bus routes (which have stops in Grange). The cottage is a bungalow (I guess 1950's construction) attached to a beautiful old cottage so you share the driveway. If you're looking for a flashy modern interior then this isnt the place for you. The cottage is comfortable and has everything you will need for cooking and lots of local information. Grange doesnt have a pub as such but there is a cafe and some of the local hotels have bars and restaurants open to non residents. Bear in mind
that there is no wifi here and our phone signal was sketchy at best.
