- Great little cottage in the Lake District's secret valley. Great place for walking but take a day out to ride the little train to Ravenglass and back. The cottage is on three floors with the main double bedroom downstairs and a further bedroom with twin beds on an upstairs mezzanine floor which is open to the lounge and kitchen area. Beware of low beams and ceiling upstairs probably best suited to early teens so all go to bed at the same time but not too tall!! The stairs are also squeaky so visits to the loo on the middle floor in the middle of the night can be disturbing.
Having said that we had a great time. The owners are just across the way and are very helpful and friendly as are the geese, chickens and horses! Good pub to walk to and a couple more a short drive away.
