Our third stay here. 2 adults, a teenager and a boxer. The bottom line is that we think this cottage (and we've stayed at many) represents good value for money. The second bedroom is what it is - as per the description but as long as you are aware of this it doesn't impact. Its ideal for one person or 2 children at a squeeze but 2 adults would be tight. The position is at the quiet end of the lakes which we love but only 12 minutes into Keswick so everything on tap. The Sun Inn at Bassenthwaite is 7 mins drive and is a delight - both food and Ale. We had a couple of minor problems that I suspect were on the back of previous guests not informing Sally's Cottages but once they were notified their handyman came within 2 hours and sorted the issues so hats off to him/them. Recommended as good value for money.

Hi Matin, welcome back! It's great to find a home from home, isn't it? And delighted that we could help sort out a couple of tiny niggles. As you say, it's an ideal location. Here's to more fabulous family getaways!

Nice cottage, good value for money in an excellent location. The cottage facilities were good however the hot water is on a timer and is limited to early morning, switching off at 8:30 which is not good when you want a lie in on holiday and want a shower. I think this needs addressing apart from that would recommend and we managed around it but not ideal especially with a 1 year old.

Hello Peter, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's a lovely cosy cottage, isn't it? The location is hard to beat! Thank you also for your feedback regarding the hot water, I will look into this further. I hope you had a great stay and will plan a return visit to the beautiful Lakes very soon.

Sale View is a lovely apartment in a great location with wonderful views. The kitchen needed a clean when we arrived (lots of dog hairs on the work surfaces) and the bathroom was very dusty but otherwise the apartment was clean. We had problems with the Hive heating system on arrival but thankfully Sally's Cottages and the owner had an engineer come out to get it sorted for us. Our only real issue was the smell in the master bedroom, there is a very strong smell of damp and unfortunately it was too cold for us to keep the window open to let it air during our stay. The log burner was a welcome addition and enjoyed spending our evenings together around the fire. This cottage is a great base for getting out and exploring the local towns, Lakes and Fells.

Hi Lisa, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while isn't it? I hope you enjoyed exploring. I'm so sorry to hear that some of the cleanliness wasn't up to scratch when you arrived. I really appreciate you bringing it to my attention, I'll make sure this is addressed with the cleaner. I'm glad we were able to sort out the heating problem, I hope it didn't cause too much inconvenience. I'll make sure the damp smell is looked into as well. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
