Rose Cottage is a homey and welcoming holiday home sleeping six across two double bedrooms and a bunk bedroom. The spacious living areas and wonderful mountain views from the garden are an absolute delight while the comfortable lounge has a feature sandstone fireplace and a cosy wood burner to warm your toes by during those cooler evenings.
The small village of Threlkeld is a popular walking destination in the northern Lake District, with the imposing ridges of Blencathra stand tall above the village providing a wonderful backdrop to this quiet location. There are also two excellent pubs both just a few minutes' walk from Rose Cottage. The Salutation and the Horse and Farrier are traditional pubs with warm welcoming atmospheres and both serve food and local ales.
You can take a short drive from the village into the popular market town of Keswick, which has plenty of attractions including Derwentwater, a theatre, shops, and eateries. Or why not explore the history of the area with a trip to Threlkeld Quarry and mining museum? Whatever you choose to busy yourself with, Rose Cottage is a warm and welcoming base for you to return to at the end of the day!
