Thank you for a wonderful week in Osprey cottage, so clean and comfortable to come home to and enough room for adults and kids to spread out. The area is beautiful and we were spoilt with great weather and amazing walks. We hope to return again, thank you x

Hello Lisa, I love getting feedback like this - thank you so much. Sounds like you all had a fantastic family holiday - that's what it's all about! It's a gem of a cottage isn't it? You picked a perfect location for getting out and about on some great walks and I'm thrilled you had some beautiful Autumn weather. Hope to see you again very soon!

Paid a little more than we normally do for this cottage, but it was worth it. It was clean, bright, well equipped and finished to the highest level. My only slight negative was the car parking - it is off road but drops away steeply and is not very wide if there are two cars. It is especially awkward at night because of the drop away from the road as you have no reference point so hard to see stone wall etc - an outside light that picks up the car as it approaches would be useful.
Having said that the rest of the cottage was superb. Entering into a good hall all the muck, boots etc stays here and is not spread into the rest of the house. There is a lovely separate living room for the kids down stairs with their own TV, DVD, Games console. There is a nice cloakroom with toilet and loads of space for hanging / drying coats. The kitchen / diner is modern, well-lit and spacious - it could do with a few more saucepans though, other than that really well equipped / provisioned.
The description in Sally's Cottages brochure is right about the steps from the kitchen into the lounge - very steep so be warned if you have very young or people with mobility issues. The lounge is lovely - plenty of comfy chairs / sofa's, log burner (which was well used), a great selection of DVD's for all ages, books & guide books and even a pair of binoculars to enjoy the stunning views.
The walk-in shower room is stunning. The bedrooms are all lovely, light and airy and enjoy stunning views - King sized bed could do to be a few inches lower to enjoy the views better from bed (but I suppose we were there to go out and enjoy the views not to lay in bed looking at them). The family bathroom was modern with a lovely deep bath - loads of very hot water available too.
All in all, we would highly recommend this cottage and will certainly look to use it again. It is ideally placed only a few miles from Keswick - you hardly notice the traffic on the road next to the cottage as all the main rooms are on the other side, and at night there is very little traffic anyway.
