We had a fantastic week at Mill cottage. The location is brilliant for access to wasdale and eskdale. Little bit of wear and tear in accommodation but that's to be expected. The cottage is equipped with everything you need and was clean. Only problem we had was flies coming in to the house. Would definitely book again superb.

Great cottage for 2 families. Loads of space. Please buy shelves or a dresser for the kitchen and then we could put away our food. The bags in the corner were close to ruining the gorgeous kitchen diner. Watch out for the passive aggressive neighbour up the path away from the pub who got cross when we stepped onto her lawn for 5 minutes during a cricket game with the children.
A lovely cottage in an amazing part of the Lakes.

A lovely, spacious and light cottage. Two buildings made into one house with separate staircases. The large kitchen area in particular a great place to hang out. Nice bathrooms and pleasing decor throughout. Lots of places to sit if you want some space of your own. Would perhaps benefit from somewhere to store food in kitchen but it didn’t bother us. Utility room with washer and dryer. Very useful! By the side of a brook which leads to the river; although very fast flowing water so you’d have to be careful with little ones. Peaceful hideaway. Close to beautiful Wastwater. Pubs etc around but most a drive away. WiFi good in most of cottage but sketchy or non existent in the upstairs part of old mill section of the house. No fenced garden but surrounded by open green space with two wooden bench tables at the side of house. Woodlands tearoom excellent food just a short walk or car journey away. Best to book first! A great place to stay but be aware that it’s not in the midst of a bustling Lakes village so everywhere a car journey. Nearest small shop 10 mins drive away. Sea scale about 20 minutes away and worth a trip for the very pebbly beach and lovely seafront children’s play area.
