We had a lovely stay in this cottage. The accommodation was very clean and more spacious that we had imagined. Very comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Thanks

Lovely cottage. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with plenty of crockery and kitchen equipment. As others have said there isn’t a view at the rear of the cottage as you are looking at a very large metal barn immediately in front of you across a gravel parking area. At the front there is a bench and table before a grassed area facing uphill which gets the late afternoon sun.
The only downside was no enclosed garden area where we could let our dog off the lead as we sat outside.
We had pizza from the camp site next door which was good and can recommend The Horse and Farrier pub at Dacre about three miles away. Unfortunately the fish and chip van which was due to visit the nearby camp site failed to turn up so maybe have an alternative on hand if that’s your plan. We got some lovely local sausages from the camp site shop instead.

I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Lovely cottage very close to Ullswater and next to the Quiet Campsite. We had pizza from there on the first night. It's an eco site so no packaging and you can return the plates afterwards. Cottage was very spacious with two good sized bathrooms with showers, one has just been upgraded. 3rd bedroom the twin is fine for two adults too. Kitchen and equipment all good as well as very comfortable bedrooms. Top tip - We took our own comfy garden chairs as only picnic benches. Weather was glorious. Dogs do have to be on a lead in the garden which is a bit of a pain as it's all contained but it is a shared area so take suitable leads if you want to have them outside with you.
