We had a lovely week in Greenbarn, it was perfect for a relaxing week with amazing landscape on the doorstep and very comfortable and well-equipped.

Hello Anne, Thank you for your lovely feedback. It's a gem of a cottage isn't it? You couldn't have picked a better location to kick back and relax. I'm thrilled you had a really great stay and I hope you will plan a return visit to the beautiful Lakes very soon!

We enjoyed a week on the fells with generally glorious weather. Hiked up Great Dodd, Clough Head, Gowbarrow, Watermillock Common, Red Tarn and a circuit round Dacre, Dalemain & Pooley Bridge.
The cottage is well appointed with several helpful additions such as a pair of binoculars, a spare toothbrush, mending kit, rolls of kitchen foil and cling film. Delighted with bird feeder outside bedroom window. Recycling arrangements good. We would certainly recommend the cottage and Sally’s Cottages. The latter’s web site is well set up and easy to use.
We have ticked 9 for value for money as we feel it is currently at the top end of the price range for a 2 person cottage and shouldn’t rise any higher at this year’s rates..

We had a wonderful stay at Greenbarn. For us we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle and the location certainly provided us with that, you will definitely need a car to get around (local supermarkets etc) but plenty of walking can be done immediately from the cottage and it's a great location in terms of getting to Penrith and Keswick.
The cottage was spotless when we arrived and the homemade cookies were a very well received treat after our 6.5 hour drive, the only downside was the fridge was left off. We understand that it is perhaps an energy saving measure however it meant the fridge was very noisy as it was getting down to temperature (when we were trying to sleep) and we had bought food with us that needed to remain chilled, luckily we had ice packs!
The window seat is perfect for morning coffee and there was enough space in the house for the two of it, albeit cooking in the kitchen took a little organisation! We'd love to come back and would recommend as an ideal spot for fellow explorers.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you had a wonderful holiday, it's the perfect place to get away from it all isn't it?
You couldn't have chosen a better location if you enjoy getting out for some good walks.
Thanks for letting me know about the fridge, I hope it didn't cause too much inconvenience. I'll address this with the cleaner.
I hope you can look forward to a return visit some time, you can be sure of a warm welcome.
