Our family had a most enjoyable holiday staying in Force Mill. Very comfortable. Wonderful location. Enjoyed sitting on the terrace overlooking the falls and watching the heron fishing for his supper. The only negative is the barbecue needed replacing.

We broke one side plate. Sorry! Fabulous location. More crockery needed please plus kitchen scissors. Heating timing needs sorting please. Some cupboards dirty.
Will be back for sure!

Hello Mark, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I really appreciate your feedback. The owner of Force Mill is going to provide some more crockery for the cottage. They've also advised that they are intending to install a Hive heating system, so this should make a big difference for heating usability! I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay and I look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

Took us a year to get to Force mill having booked the cottage in 2020 only for lockdown No2 to force us to cancel. Well worth the wait though as its a gorgeous cottage in a fantastic location , all the rain in May had made for a fast flowing river Eden and a lack of sun had kept the bluebells at their best ( a sight not to be missed wandering through the woods through a carpet of them ). The cottage is very clean and well heated and presented , you`ll have fun working out the myriad of light switches , some seem to do nothing . We saw deer , the resident Heron fishing as well as plenty bird life. Oh and the sheep guarding the track to the cottage are comical and take some shifting to get them to move. Overall a very happy stay and love to return in autumn to see the change in the colours .

Hi Paul, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your break, you must have been ready for it! It's a lovely place to get away from it all isn't it? It sounds like you timed it just right to see the bluebells at their best. Lovely that you got to see lots of the local wildlife too. Until next time!
