Steal away to this gorgeous shepherd’s hut in the Lake District to spend some special time with your loved one. Sleeping two guests, the beautifully crafted, exquisitely presented, one-bedroom retreat nestles on a farm at Bridgend, 1 mile from Patterdale. From here, walk just over 1 mile to reach the shores of serene Ullswater, where you can pick up a 20-mile trail all the way around the lake. Make your way approximately 2 miles to Glenridding, where you can catch one of the famous Ullswater steamboats out on the water.

Take two steps up to discover your unique, bijou shepherd’s hut accommodation. Return from long hikes to enjoy a hot shower before unwinding in front of the Smart TV or with your holiday novel. Open the French doors on sunny days to let the fresh Cumbrian air in and wander outside whenever you fancy. Prepare tasty meals in the kitchen area to enjoy inside or cook on the bbq for the al fresco treat. When you are ready to turn in, make your way over to the double bed for a superb night’s sleep. Sit out in the sunshine of your private outside space whenever possible. Soak up the glorious scenery during the day in your own private hot tub and gaze up at the stars at night while being warmed by the fire pit. You also have parking for one car with the shepherd’s hut.

Pull on your walking boots and attempt the 5-mile walk, mostly beside the lake, up to spectacular Aira Force Waterfall. Drive 10 miles to Pooley Bridge or make the journey by steamboat to hire a motorboat, rowing boat or canoe to take yourselves out on the water. Plan a day trip to Keswick, 18 miles away, to wander its bustling streets, dine out in its eateries, have a brewery tour or perhaps visit the famous Castlerigg Stone Circle.

Amazing, cosy hut fully kitted out with everything you could need. Stunning location and scenery, we loved being surrounded by sheep and warming up in the hot tub on the chilly evenings. Could not have wished for a better holiday or accommodation.
