Needs some TLC. The oven door didnt shut properly so had to push the chair against it for it to work. There was no signal to the TV so couldnt watch any channels unless i signed in to watch my own netflix. Dust on top of picture frames and wonky. Stone floor was sticky so clearly hadnt had a good clean. Good location, but overall feel like we paid Read moreover the odds for a '5 star' cottage. This isn't a 5 star cottage be warned. I would recommend HolidayCottages review this property as not 5 stars Hide

Lovely comfortable cottage which has been nicely decorated inside. Located in a quiet village with one local pub. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen was well equipped, though it took us a while to get hang of the microwave oven. Youll also need to bring cooking essentials with you like oil, salt and pepper, and logs if you want to use the fire.

A lovely well equipped cottage in a quiet location. Nice and warm during a chilly November weekend. Very clean with nice touches such as a welcome pack (milk, biscuits, tea, instant coffee, jam, fudge) and bath robes. Log burner is a lovely feature. There were some logs there but we brought some with us. Not much going on in the village but plenty Read moreof places within a short drive such as Cartmel (beautiful) and Grange. Cosy little cottage, everything you needed, shame there wasnt a little bit of fuel for the wood burner even for one night. The last evening there, we couldnt shower & no heating, a message was on the boiler saying service due. So the last evening was very cold, we had to go out to buy logs for the burner. So abit disappointing.

Welcome pack was very nice. Unfortunately its no good for tall people as upstairs was difficult, also the shower. You cant help it, but the cockerel is a pain first thing in the morning. Wi-Fi and televisions are good. Dressing gowns, nice touch.
