Step inside, leave your walking boots and jackets in the lobby and make your way into the immaculate, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Enjoy the airy ambience of the light-filled room, lose yourself in the waterside vistas or settle down together in front of the Smart TV with a DVD player and Bluetooth speaker. Cartmel, 7 miles away, also has a colourful choice of shops and restaurants. Make your way to Coniston Water, about 7.5 miles drive, to walk beside the lake. Venture 12.5 miles to see the National Trust’s splendid Wray Castle.
