Absolutely fantastic countryside stay couldnt recommend highly enough. Weve just spent a week at this beautiful three-bedroom coach house near Wigton, and it genuinely exceeded expectations in every way. The property is stunning a thoughtfully converted coach house that feels more like a proper home than a holiday rental. Everything is sRead morepot on. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, the living space is spacious and comfortable, and there are loads of thoughtful extras board games, books, local info, and little touches that make the stay effortless and relaxing. The layout worked perfectly for us. The ground-floor twin bedroom and nearby shower room were ideal for my mum (79). While upstairs the master bedroom with exposed beams, is full of character and was perfect for me to spread out. The second upstairs bedroom has a captains bed, accessed via a small three-step spiral staircase, which my son absolutely loved, and a crawl space underneath he could play in. All the beds were extremely comfortable genuinely great sleep all week. The whole place is warm, cosy, and beautifully maintained, with quality bedding and furnishings throughout. Gwen and Mike are excellent hosts friendly, thoughtful, and completely unobtrusive, but right there if you need anything. We had a minor internet issue and it was sorted quickly and smoothly with no fuss at all. On arrival, we were welcomed with homemade brownies, flapjacks, fresh farm milk, strawberries and cream, and fruit a really lovely touch that sets the tone immediately. Being on a working farm adds real charm. You get an authentic countryside feel chickens nearby, natural sounds, and a peaceful rural atmosphere but it never feels intrusive or disruptive. Fresh eggs available at the end of the drive are a brilliant bonus and very reasonably priced. The only very minor points are a small shared garden space and just one parking space neither caused any real issue. Overall, this is a top-tier countryside stay: beautiful property, excellent facilities, outstanding hosts, and real attention to detail. Wed return in a heartbeat. Hide
